Phaidra did a super job of marketing our home she was very helpfull in suggesting the most appropriate asking price for the home and had professional photo's taken for display in every market place available. She or her assist Amy were always available for information and updates. She worked very hard in a difficult market and negotiated a reasonable price for our home. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Phaidra was very helpful in getting our Condo sold. Her skill as a realtor went beyond just listing the unit and being available for showings. The condo was made more presentable, and all things that needed to be fixed or changed to show/sell better were done. It was the type of experience you wish for when selling a home or condo.

We certainly enjoyed working with Phaidra McDermott in purchasing our lot on Sanibel. We have been visiting Sanibel for more than 25 years and had never seen the Sanctuary golf club which is a few blocks away from our lot. We really liked their tennis facilities. Phaidra understood we had limited time to spend with her and was ready to show us properties that perfectly suited our needs. She also took the time to give us a tour of the golf club. Phaidra is delightful and her knowledge of Sanibel and the people who live there is very valuable.

If you are thinking of relocating to the Sanibel/Captiva area there is no better choice than Phaidra McDermott for your realtor. Phaidra's attributes read like the old Boy Scout Motto--"A Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean and Reverent". Ok, some of those may not be purely relevant, but lets talk about the ones that are. Phaidra is Trustworthy. This is a rare quality in anyone, much less a realtor. But I worked through a number of scenarios with Phaidra--all highly confidential--and she breathed not a word to anyone. Phaidra is Loyal. No one fights harder for the deal her clients want than Phaidra McDermott. Phaidra is Helpful. Phaidra grew up on Sanibel, her dad and grandfather were both former chiefs of police here. She knows everyone, can recommend all the best professionals (and did in our case), and she will be straight with you no matter what. Phaidra is Friendly, Courteous, Kind and Cheerful! Wow, is she Cheerful! Even though we had her drag us to countless properties across the Islands and even some in Ft. Meyers she was always ready to go, with great suggestions (often before anyone else even knew folks were going to list their homes), and no matter how long the days (or how difficult I was) she was always a joy to work with. Phaidra is Obedient, Thrifty and Brave. I lump these together because sometimes you need your realtor to be the bad guy or to take it on the chin for you as you work toward the best deal possible and Phaidra was always ready to go the distance for me, even if it meant a tough conversation with another realtor on the island that she knew well (and of course Thrifty is important too--Phaidra treats every dollar of yours as if it were her own). Clean and Reverent the last two in the Motto may not be directly relevant, but hey, you want a professional who looks and acts professionally and one who is a person of integrity and Phaidra is all of that and more. I know this is a long review but I would not let anyone in my family work with anyone other than Phaidra and her team and I want to be sure you leave this page with the same feeling for Phaidra that I have (oh and by the way, as I write this I am the proud owner of an exceptional family home in Sanibel all because Phaidra McDermott was there to help me through the process).

If your buying or selling on Sanibel or Captiva Phaidra is the obvious choice. She truly knows the Islands, how to stage your home and works hands on! She sold our family home quickly and for a good price. Thanks Phaidra.

Good on both the buy and sell side ! Helped a purchase happen despite the sellers remorse. On the sell side, was straight about the true value and marketed the property well. As for the buyers fix list, Phaidra did a great job of keeping the deal going, despite the buyers baloney, and came to the rescue at the 11 hour with a Mr Fixit to seal the deal

Phaidra is the best realtor you could possibly find! She will listen to you, and come up with ideas to suit your needs. She won't try to sell you any property you don't want. We are convinced her knowledge of the market saved us thousands of dollars on our purchase. She answered all our questions about our move, and gave us helpful information to get us started in our new home. She and her office staff are a delight to work with!
