(CBS4) We all know it s
expensive to live in South Florida, but did you know the southern end of the
Sunshine State also has two of the top five most expensive zip codes in the
country.
According to Forbes magazine s
annual survey of the 500 most expensive places based on median home prices,
Fisher Island tied with Alpine, New Jersey for the number one spot.
Miami Beach came in second,
followed by Rancho Santa Fe, California, just outside San Diego, where the
median price for a home is a little more than two and half million
dollars.
Rounding out the top five were
Glenbrook, Nevada near Lake Tahoe at number four and Amagansett, New York in
fifth place.
The only other Florida zip to
make the list was Captiva s 33924 which came in at number
sixty-six.
