TripAdvisor, one of the largest travel websites, has released the results of
their family beach survey, and Sanibel Island is named among the top
10 beaches for family vacations. TripAdvisor asked 400 travelers with children
age 18 or younger, and found that almost 80% are planning for beach vacation
with the kids in the next 6 months.
Beaches were rated according to various children s amenities, from sandcastle
building contests to dolphin-watching, as well as things which make life easier
for mom and dad, picnic tables, showers and bathrooms. In addition all of them
have soft sand, without big waves, dangerous tides or freezing cold water!
